Every single car we rent is automatic. There is no manual in our fleet, no automatic surcharge, and nothing you need to request when you book.
In the United States automatic transmission is the default, not an upgrade. Visitors from Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe often expect to pay more for it, or worry they will be handed a manual at the counter. Neither happens here. Every class we offer — from the Chevrolet Spark up to the Audi Q7 — is automatic.
These are the groups you can book, and all of them are automatic:
If you learned on a manual, the change takes about five minutes. There is no clutch and only two pedals — right foot for both. Put the selector in D to go forward and R to reverse, and keep the car in P with the parking brake on when you leave it. Left foot stays on the floor; using it for the brake out of habit is the one mistake people make.
A driving licence you have held for at least a year, a passport if you are visiting, and a credit or debit card in the driver's name. Licences in the Latin alphabet are fine as they are; if yours is not, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it. We accept debit cards, including international ones — see renting with a debit card. Minimum age is 21, with a young-driver fee for ages 21–24.
It is standard and there is no surcharge. Every car in our fleet is automatic, so the rate you see is the rate for an automatic.
No — we do not operate any manual vehicles. Manual transmission is rare in rental fleets across the United States.
Only if your licence is not printed in the Latin alphabet. If it is, your home licence plus your passport is enough.
The economy class, a Chevrolet Spark or similar, from $39.99 per day. It is automatic like every other class.
