If you want the cheapest well-maintained car per dollar and you do not mind mileage, it is a good buy. If you want the lowest-mileage example of a model, buy privately and pay more.

Yes. We encourage a pre-purchase inspection by any mechanic you choose. A seller who will not allow that is telling you something.
