Car Rental in Miami Beach: Pick Up Nearby or Have It Delivered

By the iRent Car Rental team · Miami car rental since 2015 · Updated October 3, 2026 · ★ Read our Google reviews

Staying on Miami Beach — South Beach, Mid-Beach, North Beach or one of the bay islands? You don't need to trek to the airport for a car. Here's how to get an iRent car on the beach, what each causeway costs you, and which car fits the island.

Short answer: iRent's closest branch to Miami Beach is in Sunny Isles Beach, on Collins Avenue at the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort — a straight drive down Collins to Bal Harbour, Surfside and Mid-Beach. We can also deliver the car to your Miami Beach hotel, condo or Airbnb for a fee (call (305) 608-8691 for a quote), or you can pick up near MIA and drive over a causeway in about 20–40 minutes. Rates start at $39.99/day, and debit and international cards are accepted.

Miami Beach's islands and neighborhoods — what to know with a car

South Beach (5th–23rd Street)

The busiest, most expensive place to park in Miami. Street meters run $4/hour and city garages cap around $20/day — see our South Beach parking guide. Park once in a garage and walk Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road and Española Way.

Mid-Beach and North Beach

Collins Avenue from 23rd Street up to 87th Street is calmer, with cheaper parking and the big resort hotels. If you're staying here, the Sunny Isles branch is your quickest pickup.

Surfside and Bal Harbour

Just north of Miami Beach on Collins Avenue — a few minutes from our Sunny Isles branch. Bal Harbour Shops has its own garage.

Star Island, Palm & Hibiscus Islands

Residential islands off the MacArthur Causeway (I-395). They're gated or private streets, so they're not sightseeing drives — but delivery to a home there works like any other address.

The Venetian Islands

A chain of small islands on the Venetian Causeway between downtown Miami and South Beach. It's the slow, scenic route with a toll plaza; the MacArthur Causeway is faster and free.

Fisher Island

Fisher Island is reached only by private ferry for residents and their guests, so a rental car can't be delivered on the island itself. If you're staying there, call us to arrange a mainland meeting point.
